I rarely do beauty blog posts anymore but as I was taking a trip to Boots the other day to stock up on my favourites, I thought I would share some of my go-to products. I'm not an expert in beauty by any means but over the years I have learnt what I like and what I don't, what works for me and what doesn't. I love trying out new products whether it's makeup or skincare but there are a select few items that I always repurchase and completely panic when I run out. As a heads up my skin is generally normal to dry, I'm lucky that I have pretty good skin but the products I'm sharing will generally work for all skin types. I've tried an array of high end and lower end products and you'll be pleased to know these are all lower price points. You don't need to spend a fortune to get good beauty products. Let me know if you've tried any of these products or if you love them as much as I do!

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Face Mask, £7.99

I've been using the L'Oreal Pure Clay mask for a few years now and it's the only one I ever use. My skin feels softer and smoother. When I go through bad skin phases I pop this on and it fixes everything - I'm not sure how but it really works! My makeup goes on better and lasts longer. This hydrates and cleans and is great for sensitive skin. I apply this with a flat foundation brush and remove after 15/20 minutes with a damp flannel. This is said to last 10 applications but I find it lasts so much longer!

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer, £6.99

I always think primer is a tricky one, I've tried high end expensive ones that feel lovely to apply but don't really work. I want my primer to create a smooth canvas for foundation and help the makeup last as long as possible. The one I find best for this is Rimmel's Fix & Perfect primer - yep, one of the most affordable out there! It doesn't react strangely to foundation; some primers lead to the foundation separating on the skin. Always remember, if your foundation is water based you must use a water based (not silicone based) primer. This primer does the job perfectly and I've been through a crazy amount of them!

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation, £6.85

I tried this foundation a couple of years ago after a friend wanted to try it after hearing good reviews. It was so affordable that I decided to pick one up too and I'm so glad I did, I've been addicted ever since! This literally stays in place all day (along with the Rimmel primer and NYX setting spray) with a gorgeous glowy finish. It's buildable so you can go from medium to full coverage and it blends so well too. The only downside of this is that you can only get it down south (I usually get it in Penney's) but I order mine from the Inish Pharmacy website when I run out in between Dublin visits! However, the bottles last ages so you don't have to repurchase too regularly.

NYX Setting Spray - Dewy Finish, £7

I used to only use this setting spray for events, nights out or if I needed my makeup to last all day for certain occasions but it worked so well that I now use it everyday! It leaves your face looking fresh with a gorgeous glow and most importantly my makeup does not budge ALL DAY. When I don't use this I notice such a difference in the general finish of my makeup and how it comes off throughout the day. This is half the price of some popular, more expensive ones and just as good!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define, £4

This is definitely one of my favourite concealers and it's only £4! This provides amazing coverage for both dark circles and blemishes. It seems like quite a thick consistency but it blends into foundation seamlessly. This also works really well as a primer for eyeshadow. This has a matte finish and large doe foot applicator making it easy to apply and perfect for delicate under eye areas.
